Wash varagu arisi thoroughly 4 times and keep aside. - Wash moong dal and keep aside. - Boil milk and water.. In a cooker or cooker pan, dry roast moong dal till golden brown and a nice aroma comes.

Notes : Varagu arisi contains a lot of impurities, so make sure you wash it at least 4 times. - If you like the fruits crunchy then add them at the end. - If you want the apples a little tender then sauté for 2 minutes and add them to the pongal. - Do not sauté banana and orange.
