    1. Wash and soak Varagu arisi and moong dal for 20 to 30 minutes.
    2. Drain water from varagu arisi and dal.Transfer it to pressure cooker add water,turmeric powder,salt and pressure cook for 4 whistles.Switch off and allow pressure to release.
    3. Heat a pan and add ghee.Now add ginger, jeera powder,pepper powder,hing and curry leaves.
    4. Now add this to cooked varagu arisi and dal mixture.Mix well to combine all ingredients together.
    5. Serve hot Varagu Arisi Pongal with coconut chutney or any chutney of your choice.
