    1. Make ready 1 cup urad dal
    2. Prepare 1/3 tsp salt

    6. Prepare 3 tsp water
    7. Make ready 1/2 tsp chopped pistachios for garnishing

Slowly drop in oil, fry them on medium flame, Turn both sides and deep fry until golden brown Take out from Oil and keep in a paper napkin to extract the extra oil from Vada.     Steps to make Instant sweet medu vada:

    1. Take the urad dal /urad in a mixture grinder and make powder of it.
    2. Then add required amount of water to make a thick batter and mix salt in it.
    3. Heat a wok with oil and put the batter in dropping way like pakodas in medium flame.
    4. Cook till they become golden in colour.
    5. Put all the vadas on a tissue paper for removal of extra oil.
    6. In the meantime in another pan put sugar or Jaggery with water and allow it to melt completely till 1/2 strand consistency.
    7. Then mix all the fried balls in it and mix it well. Switch off the flame. Now your Sweet medu vadas are ready.
    8. Serve hot with garnishing some chopped pistachios on it.

    It is made from black gram dal which is a lentil. Medu Vada or simply Vada are crispy fritters made with urad daal and enjoyed with sambar or chutney. They are usually served along side idli as part of a perfect South Indian breakfast, but don't let that stop you from enjoying these vadas for lunch or dinner. Medu vada is also known as medu vadai, ulundu vadai, garelu et al. KT Achaya describes this vada as "soft inside and crunchy outside".
